Travel Fees
Does My Property Have a Travel Fee?
Most properties do not have a travel fee.
Travel fees only apply to properties located more than 20 miles from one of our primary service areas.
Included Travel Area
Our service areas are centered around three metro locations:

Seattle, WA Approximate 20-mile included travel area. |
|
We regularly travel beyond these areas. Properties outside the included travel radius may simply incur a travel fee.
Please note: These maps are provided as a visual guide. Actual travel fees are based on driving distance and route, not straight-line ("as the crow flies") distance.
How Travel Fees Are Calculated
Travel distances are measured from the city center of:
- Portland, Oregon
- Seattle, Washington
- Tacoma, Washington
The first 20 miles are included with your appointment.
After that, travel is billed at $4.00 per mile, per photographer.
Travel fees help cover both travel time and mileage for the photographers assigned to your appointment.

Don't worry about measuring distances. Just send us the property address when requesting your appointment, and we'll let you know if a travel fee applies before your booking is confirmed.
How We Measure Travel
To calculate travel, we use the shortest driving route available at the scheduled date and time of your appointment.
This allows us to account for known construction, road closures, and other routing conditions that may affect travel.
Seattle & Tacoma Appointments
Because our Seattle and Tacoma photographers often serve both markets, appointments between these service areas are scheduled using the shortest available travel route.
Using the shortest available route helps us determine which photographer can most efficiently service your appointment and may affect photographer availability.
Multiple Photographers
If your appointment requires multiple photographers, the travel fee is calculated for each photographer traveling to the property.
This ensures each photographer is compensated for their travel time and mileage.
Multiple Appointments in the Same Area
If the same photographer (or photography team) is scheduled to photograph multiple properties back-to-back in the same area, the travel fee is shared across those appointments.
This often results in a lower travel cost for each individual order.

Working outside one of our primary service areas?
If multiple agents from the same office are scheduling appointments in areas such as Port Orchard, Hood River, Manzanita, Bend, Salem, or other outlying locations, consider coordinating your appointments for the same day.
By sharing one photographer's travel across multiple appointments, the travel fee can often be divided among each order, providing better value for everyone.
