Who Owns the Photos?
Ruum Media retains the copyright to all photos, videos, floor plans, and other media we create.
When you purchase media from us, you receive a license to use it for marketing your property.
Your License Includes
Your license allows you to use your media to market a property for:
- Retail sale
- Property rentals (when applicable)
- MLS listings
- Real estate websites
- Social media
- Print marketing
- Online advertising
Unless otherwise noted, your license remains valid for the active marketing of that property until it has been sold.
What Isn't Included
Your standard license does not allow media to be:
- Sold to another party
- Shared with third parties for their own marketing
- Used by builders, designers, contractors, or other businesses without permission
- Reused for future listings after the property has sold
- Transferred to a new property or listing without permission
Why is licensing needed?
Every business benefits from the marketing value of professional media. Extended licenses ensure everyone using the media has the appropriate rights while protecting the work of our photographers and creators.
Extended Licenses
Need someone else to use your media?
We offer extended licensing for a variety of situations, including:
- Builder marketing
- Interior designer portfolios
- Contractor marketing
- Long-term rental marketing
If another party would like to use your media, simply have them contact us. We'll help determine the appropriate licensing option for their intended use.
Rental licenses apply to photography only and do not include video or 3D tours.
Zillow Showcase
If your property will be listed as a Zillow Showcase, we'll grant Zillow permission to use your media through Zillow's Media Request process.
